The European Casino Association (ECA), which is made up of national casino associations and licensed land-based casino operators, announced today that Tiina Siltanen has been named Vice Chair of the association.
The ECA’s Board Meeting on December 15 in Finland to honor the Veikkaus Casino Tampere’s first anniversary selected Siltanen. Directors discussed preparations for the ECA Annual General Assembly at ICE London in February at the meeting.
At the conference, ECA Chairman Per Jaldung stressed the need for the group to strengthen its leadership to combat illicit gaming and promote the casino business worldwide.
Jaldung stated he will “stand aside as Chairman of the ECA at the next General Assembly” and that “this nomination provides strong leadership and solid support” for his successor.
Siltanen manages 160 Veikkaus casino employees in Finland as General Manager of Casino Helsinki and the forthcoming Casino Tampere. ECA Board member since 2021.
She, Jaldung, and Senior Vice President Pascal Camia—also Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer’s COO—lead the ECA. The team has seven board members and a Secretary General.
Siltanen is happy that they offered her new duties after two years on the board. She doesn’t feel new to the work, but some things demand extra attention.
“There are critical topics I would like to focus on in my new employment,” Siltanen remarked. “These include the ECA’s international events, diversity and inclusion issues in human resources, and the reputation of the licensed casino sector as a whole.”
Siltanen leads the European casino business. He has 20 years of customer service and executive experience and a solid table gaming background.
She graduated from UNLV’s Executive Development Program with a BBA in business studies. She’ll demonstrate casino workers’ professionalism.
