Southland Casino Hotel’s $320M expansion is now done.

The historic $320 million expansion of Delaware North’s Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis is now complete.

The Southland Casino Hotel in West Memphis, Arkansas, just finished a big renovation that made the property much bigger. The company spent $320 million on renovations to make the place a real Las Vegas-style gambling destination.

The new building is done.

It took three years to finish the spectacular addition. What started out as a racetrack with a few slot machines is now a full-fledged casino resort with a nice hotel and lots of ways to gamble.

Lou Jacobs, CEO of Delaware North, the company that owns Southland Casino Hotel, says that finishing the expansion “puts Southland on the map as a real casino destination.” He is sure that the property’s expansion will bring more people to the casino.

The place now has a 20-story hotel with 300 rooms and a huge casino that is 113,000 square feet. The second one has 2,400 slot machines, 50 gaming tables, and a sportsbook for its guests to choose from. Guests can also choose from a wide variety of places to eat. Lastly, Southland Casino Hotel built a new covered parking garage with more than 1,400 spaces. So, people going to the casino no longer have to worry about where to park.

Now that the building work is done, the owner will start letting people in the area know about the new place. Southland Casino Hotel wants to be known as a popular place and get more visitors from Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Northern Alabama, and St. Louis.

Southland Hotel and Casino Picks a New President and Starts a Contest

Osi Imomoh will be in charge of the Southland Casino Hotel now that it has been fixed up. He will be the hotel’s general manager and president. He already knows the team at the property because he used to be in charge of food and drinks there. Imomoh has worked for Delaware North, the company that owns Southland Casino Hotel, for the past 15 years. During that time, he has held different management positions within the company. Before that, Imomoh worked for Isle of Capri Casinos for 7 years, where he again ran businesses that sold food and drinks.

Delaware North and Pepsi, a worldwide food and beverage corporation, celebrated the expansion. This will prompt a “New Year, New Ride” contest. One winner will get a new Ford F-150 from a $250,000 prize pool. Southland Casino Hotel’s Lucky North Club members can enter the contest.
